Yes, it’s my Dad’s Birthday today! The one man whom I admire the most. The one man who cared, loved and provided for my family and I endlessly, the man that made me who I am today and the man who always had my back, even if I was in the wrong. The list goes on and on but if I continued, it would take me a lifetime. I am truly blessed!

Reminiscing my childhood, I vaguely remember one incident when I almost got myself in trouble with the local Chinese takeaway stall. I was a young teenager then so it goes without saying I was impatient, angry, rude – you get the picture 
So, I was hungry one night and wanted to get some supper so I got Dad to drive me to the takeaway. I placed my order while Dad waited in the car. For some reason the cook/stall owner wasn’t having a good night, mixing up orders or somehow couldn’t get his flow going. Obviously my fried rice order took ages to be ready so I wasn’t very happy. Anyway, I paid him and as I was walking away I mumbled something under my voice, thinking amidst the clink-clank-clunk of the busy stall and flaming woks he wouldn’t hear me.
But somehow, HE DID! It brought him to boiling point and he snapped! The chopper wielding cook snapped back at me and was making his way around the stall to teach me a lesson. Boy was I almost pissing in my pants at that point! Thankfully my Dad saw everything, jumped out of the car and before I knew it, held me by his side and told the cook with finger pointing at him “Don’t you dare talk to my son like that or even try touching him!”
By the way, this was easily 10 years or more ago but I will never forget that day.
Anyway, I called home earlier today and got to speak with Dad, Mum and Sis. They’re flying back to Kuala Lumpur for the holiday and I really wish I could join them. Dad is gonna pickup his new car tomorrow too! How sweet is that for a Bday Present(no, we didn’t buy it for him though 
)
