I’ve been meaning to write this for awhile now but I haven’t had the time to sit down and have a think about how I wanted to put this message across. Coincidentally, as I was typing this out Obama’s Inauguration was showing live on TV. The timing couldn’t be better as the main focus here was about Change! I have altered my initial message slightly to fit with the occasion
While the level of change i’m referring to is nowhere near to having a new world leader, changes that occur in the life’s of individuals can have a huge impact on themselves and those around them. I felt compelled to write about this because in the past year alone, and particularly in the past few months, I saw many changes in the life’s of those whom I care for and mine itself.
In Obama’s own words during his very first speech as the 44th President of the United States of America, “The world has changed and we must change with it”. I think we can universally agree that with change, both good and especially bad, we have to constantly push forward beyond our comfort zones against all odds present before us. Coping with change on a personal level is certainly not the easiest thing to do but the sooner we come to terms with it and accept it, the sooner you will get along with it. It is the fear of the unknown which tends to cripple us all.
Be that as it may, do not try to escape from it. Do not try to hide it, or from it. It will only come back and bite you in the ass sooner or later
So, tighten up the laces, pull up your socks and start running with it – or be left behind eating the dust of the forerunners!
