BBQ at Jeff’s – 5D MKII shots

Hey guys, here are some shots I have to share taken with the 5D MKII. Its high ISO performance is just amazing as you will see later. Here’s a shot of Jeff’s amazing DIY backyard. He did everything himself and saved several thousands instead of paying someone to do it for him. I was so impressed I now wish I had a backyard so I can do something similar! :) Anyway the shots here were processed on my Macbook Pro so the colors aren’t as vibrant. I guess it’s time to recalibrate my monitors again :-P

Anyway this was taken before we got the BBQ going with Aaron doing his thing too :)

Green prawns, chicken wings and lamb in a bag

Wings and sausages… yummm!img_3499

Prawns lightly seasoned with sea salt and pepper

It was blistering hot that day so I guess it made Aaron and Jeff look sort of brownish :-P img_3508

Sausages ready and the wings almost there!

As usual, I stopped taking photos when the food was ready  :-P   As you can see it got a lot darker too. This shot was taken at ISO2500,  f/2.8, 1/15 sec

This one was taken at ISO4000, f/2.8, 1/15 sec. Yes, I’ve got steady hands :-P

img_3518

Jaydee and Clara at ISO4000 too!

Alex rehydrating at ISO4000, f/2.8, 1/20 sec. There’s almost no noise visible at all!

The aftermath of it all!img_3531

Kit Loong – enough said :-P

Shells and bones!img_3537

Round 2 begins!img_3542

Wings cooked to perfection…yummm!img_3551

I also took some High Def videos with the 5DII that day but I haven’t quite figured out how to edit it. Anyone got any recommendations for something easy to use for either Mac or Vista? :-)

you can use iMovie’09 on your Mac. Very easy to use.
    Or try Handbrake (www.handbrake.fr)
