Florence and Ka Yoong were in Australia for holiday and so happen I was lucky enough for them to stumble upon my website. They wanted a casual and relaxed photoshoot so after several emails and weeks later, they were in Sydney which is their last stop of the trip. We made plans before for an outdoor shoot around Sydney’s landmarks but unfortunately temperatures plummeted into the single digit region over the last couple of days. The sunset that day was beautiful though and we had some really nice evening light. Coming from Malaysia with a 30C climate all year round, it proved to be too much for them so we moved to our backup location at the Queen Victoria Building (QVB).
After the shoot was done we had a great dinner together at Kansai for some all you can eat japanese dinner in the CBD. We also played tour guides for awhile showing them around Sydney and recommending places to eat and visit. Thanks for also buying us dinner guys!
Being a Malaysian myself, we had a lot of fun during the shoot and catching up on things going on back home. Naturally we had a lot in common and I can tell that we’ll be keeping in touch in the future. I hope we made your trip to Australia a much more memorable one!
Here are the pics from their session, don’t forget to CLICK the images for a larger version!
Florence and Ka Yoong braving the cold!
Sydney! Yeay!
Opera House done, can’t leave out the Harbour Bridge can we?
Florence and Ka Yoong under a tree… K-I-S-S-I-N-G!
Ka Yoong, I hope you appreciate all the kissing I got you to do!
This would be my favourite outdoor shot
I will follow you…
Now for some dancing too
The following three black and white shots are my favourite indoor ones
Both of them were simply amazing! I ran the idea of this shot past them and instantly they replied, “OK, no problem!”
It was a cold night, I think they were warming themselves by running a little
Thank you Florence and Ka Yoong!
Hope you guys have a safe flight back to Malaysia!

Thanks Gem! Actually we already wrapped up the shoot but then when I saw the lift I just couldn’t resist! Thankfully I have the wide angle lens otherwise this shot would’ve been impossible!
Thanks Hans
Hey June, thanks for the kind words and your ongoing support!
Woohoo!

Justin,
So I told them my photographer is a very nice, professional & humble Malaysian based in Sydney. N he brought along a very kind, friendly & informative friend along.:) I didnt get his name that day. Brain got frozen awhile there.
Thanks a lot for the nice photos. I know we could have had more pictures, but no thanks to the temperature & me being a tropical girl not used to the cold.
I received a lot of good praises from my friends for these photos but I don’t think I should take credit for it coz I was practically just sitting around & doing nothing much really.
Anyway, Justin, thanks again. Great job u did! I know it wasn’t easy creating nice pictures out of mere beings with non-model-like-features like us. Thanks again. Call us when u r back ok?

Hi Florence and Ka Yoong!
I’m really glad you guys and your friends too loved the pictures! Btw, you guys were real soldiers for braving the cold – I know I wouldn’t be able to stand the cold myself, I really wonder how you guys did it with such a thin jacket! I remember Ka Yoong didn’t even have a jacket on the entire shoot!
Thanks again to both of you, we had a really great time ourselves and also while playing tour guides
We will certainly keep in touch and we’ll meet again when I’m back in KL
Best regards,
Justin
